1. Operator and scope
Gemmein Studio is operated by Gemmein Limited, registered in England and Wales under company number 17339623. These terms apply when you use gemmeinstudio.com, download or play a Gemmein Studio game, or use a related service provided by us.
Platform terms from Apple, Google or another storefront may also apply to your download, purchase or use of a game.
2. Personal-use licence
We grant you a limited, revocable, non-exclusive, non-transferable licence to use our games for personal, non-commercial entertainment, subject to these terms and any game-specific terms.
Gemmein Limited retains all intellectual property rights in the games, artwork, software, branding and studio content except for third-party material identified as such.
3. Game-specific terms
Some titles need extra rules because their mechanics differ. A game's own terms supplement these studio terms and apply only to that title. If there is a direct conflict about a title-specific feature, the game-specific terms control for that feature.
4. In-app purchases and virtual items
Where a game offers in-app purchases, the purchase is processed through the relevant storefront. We do not receive your full payment-card details.
Virtual items, boosts, revives or other digital game items have no cash value outside the game and cannot be transferred or exchanged for money unless applicable law requires otherwise. Refunds are handled under the storefront's processes and your applicable statutory rights.
5. Fair use and service misuse
You must not deliberately disrupt, overload, interfere with or misuse our services. You must not exploit vulnerabilities, manipulate server-backed rankings, automate gameplay against our systems, impersonate another player, or use cheats that materially affect competitive or server-backed features.
Reverse engineering is prohibited only to the extent permitted by applicable law; nothing here removes rights that the law gives you.
6. Availability and changes
Games evolve. We may add, remove, rebalance or retire features, content packs, online services or entire titles. Some games are designed to keep core local play working without a network connection, but online features can depend on third-party infrastructure and may be unavailable from time to time.
We may release updates through an app store and may require a supported version where necessary for security, compatibility or online functionality.
7. Consumer rights and liability
Nothing in these terms excludes or limits rights or remedies that cannot lawfully be excluded, including your statutory consumer rights. We do not exclude liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence, fraud, or anything else that cannot legally be limited.
Subject to those protections, we are not responsible for losses that were not reasonably foreseeable when you started using the service, or for losses arising from events outside our reasonable control.
8. Suspension and termination
We may restrict access to online features where reasonably necessary to protect the service, other players or our rights, including for serious or repeated misuse. You may stop using a game at any time by uninstalling it.
9. Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales. If you are a consumer living elsewhere, mandatory consumer protections and jurisdiction rights in your home country may still apply.
10. Changes to these terms
We may update these terms as the studio or games change. We will update the date above and, where a material change affects a game, provide notice through the game, website or store listing where appropriate.
