1. Who we are
Gemmein Studio is a brand of Gemmein Limited, a company registered in England and Wales (company number 17339623). Gemmein Limited is registered with the Information Commissioner's Office under reference ZC241461 and is the data controller for the processing described here.
2. This website
The studio website does not use advertising trackers, behavioural analytics or account cookies. We do not ask you to create an account on this site.
Our hosting and security providers may process ordinary technical request data, such as IP address, browser information and request metadata, to deliver the site, prevent abuse and diagnose failures.
3. Launch emails
If you give us your email address on this site, we use it for one thing: to tell you when a game is released, and occasionally to say what we are making next. We ask for nothing else. No name, no country, no profile.
The lawful basis is your consent. We store the exact wording you agreed to and the moment you agreed to it, so there is a record of what you were actually shown rather than a tick in a box whose meaning we could quietly change later.
We also store a salted, one-way hash of your IP address. It exists only to stop the form being flooded, it cannot be turned back into an address, and it is used for nothing else.
We do not sell, rent or share the list. It does not go to advertisers and it is not used to build a profile of you.
Every email we send carries an unsubscribe link that works in one click, with nothing to log into. You can also write to privacy@gemmein.com and we will take you off by hand. We keep your address until you unsubscribe, and then we delete it.
4. Our games
Games can use different features: anonymous identifiers, leaderboards, diagnostics, rewarded advertising, in-app purchases or other services. Each game has its own privacy page describing exactly what that title collects and why.
If a game-specific policy conflicts with this studio policy about that game's data processing, the game-specific policy controls for that title.
5. Your rights
Where UK data protection law applies, you may have rights of access, correction, deletion, restriction, portability and objection, depending on the processing involved. You can also complain to the Information Commissioner's Office.
To make a privacy request, email privacy@gemmein.com. We may need enough information to locate the relevant data, but we will not ask for more than necessary.
6. Children
Our games may have different age ratings. Unless a game-specific policy says otherwise, our games are not directed at children under 13 and we do not knowingly collect personal data from children under 13.
7. Changes
We may update this policy as the studio, website or games change. The current version and update date will remain available here. Material game-specific changes will also be reflected on the relevant game page or inside the game where appropriate.
